I would love to see more people do this here and to share their mixes in discussions so we can all hear examples and read the comments.

That is a great way to learn how to mix.

I've been using multitracks that Warren Huart makes available for free, via his YouTube channel to get familiar with my new system. Might be worth checking out if nobody here sends you theirs. His channel is "produce like a pro".

Even though you are posting that this service is for free I don't think it is allowed on this forum. You are basically looking for work from the members of this forum. FWIW

You are a good member, Thomas. This was the case before Covid took us all out. How can anyone sing (run a compliant studio) within "guide lines"  with a mask on for 3 years, let alone use microphones with spit all over lol. So crazy. I shake my head.

Never the less,

We need to do all we can to help our community earn money. If I had the answers, I would continue doing all I can to help people here. As of now however... I'm getting close to selling this site or archiving it because I no longer make a living in the recording world. I don't see the light on the other side happening anytime soon either, do you?

Hope 2023 is better but I don't think so. The WEF 2030 agenda is saying "You will own nothing and be happy". Some of us are already there.

This is a GREAT site thanks to you. COVID-19 hit us hard. We have had to diversify over and over in the past few years. My primary source of income in the past was mastering. That no longer is working, We are now doing video production, transfer work, restoration and basically anything audio or video wise that comes through the front door. There are so many studios and individuals now doing "mastering" which in many cases means strapping a limiter and an equalizer over the two buss and calling it mastering after they have finished the recording. Most of these places or people do not have the proper mastering gear or the acoustics to properly do mastering but that does not seem to matter.

When I started into business 28 years ago there were two mastering studios in this area. Now everyone of the 500 or so recording or personal studios in Ohio offers "mastering" as part of the offerings.  I can understand that a lot of recording studios are also "hurting" and they want to keep their client's money flowing for as long as they can but they are doing a disservice to their clients by telling them that they are "mastering" their material when in fact they are not.

I hope you don't have to stop this site. It has offered many people a place to ask questions and get answers but I understand the finances sometimes don't "add up".

Let me know if I can do anything...

Maybe you should do like a lot of sites do now and ask for donations.
