MPK49 and sonar

Anyone using The MPK49 with Sonar 5. This is my first MIDI controller and am over my head a little bit. :?

Is it possible to program it to sonar 5 with out Act. The keys and the pads work right now but I can't get the transport controls or anything else to work.
