hi everyone,

i am very new to recording and was given the task of mapping out the click tracks for all of my bands songs so that we can save studio time. the problem is that our songs are not 1 BPM throughout the whole song.

so what i need to set up is a click that changes BPM's for example having he verses be 140 and the chorus' be 170.

i have no idea how to do this and was wondering if someone could take the time to walk me through it step by step so that when i get home from work tonight i can start.

thanks for any info you can provide, i really do appreciate any help.

I noticed this thread because I'll be using sonar later this month. If you are only using a set speed, you wouldn't take notice, or find the need of a tempo speed function. If it works like others, I'm guessing you need to set the timing up so it changes in different areas of the song. Simply put... set the tempo for the bars that are for the chorus, and for the bars for the rest of the track. You should be able to find this in the manual under tempo functions.

You can have timing changes going up and down when and where ever you choose.

Hope that helps until someone that actually uses Sonar chimes in.
