On Apples site it states:

"Support for up to 12 input and output audio channels"

Will I be able to record up to 12 tracks simultaneously and only play back 12 tracks at a time?

I can deal with the 12 track input but output I neeed at least 24 tracks...anyone know for sure?

thanks

Will you able to record 12 simultaneous tracks?
Well, yes, if you have 12 available inputs on your interface.

For the 12 ouputs you will need an interface with at least 12 physical outputs. If your using a Firewire mixer like an Onyx, I think someone mentioned that you only have the stereo master as outs. If you are using a Firepod or one of the MOTU interfaces, you're good to go.

The tracks are only limited by the software and your hardware. I don't think there is a limitation in Logic, so, whatever your Mac can handle is however many tracks you can record (but not simultaneously of course)
