OK, here goes. trying to get set up, I have a new computer (windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, 6 GB RAM, pentium i5) and just got Sonar X1 installed. The computer is only days old so no issues with it being bogged down with background activity etc. I use an M-Audio Fast Track with an SM57. Playback has lots of pops and cracks regardless of the latency and sample rate settings on the Fast Track. The Sonar site provides some vague info on what can cause this but with the gear I have none of the possibilities seem likely. Anyone out there have any insight into what can cause this? Known issues between Sonar X1 and/or Fast track, and/or Win7 64bit or any other ideas? I'm reluctant to mess with things too much yet (not knowing what I'm doing) as both the computer and software are brand new. Thanks!
