I`m new to Logic, used Samplitude before. Back in that days, when I wanted to pan something, I just turned the wheel left or right, and when it was turned to left, there would be signal coming only from left speaker, no right signal at all visa versa.
Now, in Logic, panning doesn`t seem to work the normal simple way. I was already told about about panning laws, I`ve already changed between the 3, and still I have no isolation when panning hard left or right.
I was told about using the Direction Mixer plugin , but even with the left-right default settings on that plugin I still can hear signal in other speaker.
I was told it could be a setting in my profire 2626 `mixer` window, I oppened it, and it`s default setting is the correct panning...
They also told me it could be a speaker positioning thing. Well, my system is the same, same positions etc, all I did was to take the regular pc out, throw the mac in, install logic pro... no changes made in position, they are the same as when I used samp.
So, I don`t know what to do. If there is no way, and if there is a reason for this signal to remain in other channel, how can I have this simple left-right-center separation in Logic? All I know is my mixes sound too flat and I had better results when I could really isolate signals in each speakers and centre etc...
Now when I pan hard left-right the signal just drops...
Maybe I`m so silly and noob I`m missing something really obvious... Let me know if that`s the case.

My signal path when monitoring stuff I've already recorded etc.
MAudio Profire 2626 - then it goes from 2 channels in 2626 to channels 15-16 in my Yamaha mixer - the 15/16 are then routed to stereo bus - to monitors.
After I wrote this post, I tried to pan those 2 channels hard left/right each, in the mixer. It gave them some direction, but then I gone through phase problems and discrepance in volumes, even with gain knobs all set to equal values...
Tomorrow I'm gonna try to take the mixer out of the signal chain, make it go from 2626 to monitors directly. Maybe it helps.

I just removed the mixer from the signal chain, and it worked. Now I'm facing another problem, but I believe it's a monitor thing. With their volume knobs at the same point, the left one is lower than the right one. Well, not a DAW problem anymore. Maybe.

Could you be using balance cabling for one side and unbalanced for the other?
Are there any other signal paths besides channels->main bus? If
Are there any other signal paths besides channels->main bus? If you are using submix group buses or effects loop buses maybe one of those is working against your attempts to hard pan things.
