You Can Do Magic, 1982, America
"You Can Do Magic" is a song by singer-songwriter Russ Ballard that was recorded as a 1982 single by folk rock band America from their album View from the Ground.
America are a rock band that was formed in London in 1970 by Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley. The trio met as sons of US Air Force personnel stationed in London.
Thanks for your family's service to our nation!!!
Grew up and has been singing America songs from the 70's.
Pray for Peace in our troubled world. We can do magic!!!
Love America. Acoustic sounds nice. Vocals are a bit pitchy in this track but still, nicely done. That's quite a collection of guitars behind you. Is this your studio, shop ?
Do you do A Horse With No Name?
Thanks so much for the great feedback audiokid!!!
Horse With No Name is a favorite of mine, actually all the America Songs are "my songs for life", and I love them.
I am recording in my music room, and the guitars are mine, collected throughout the years.
Actually, on this song, my voice is having a hard time, and so I lowered the tuning on my Taylor, to DGCFAD, one full note lower. I could still use another half step to be comfortable (excuses, hahahaha). The Taylor held up pretty well!!!
I will have to record HWNN, in the near future. There are simply too much selection in my generation of 60's 70's songs. I am also focused on composing more songs and lyrics to build my library.
Thank you for the comment and the conversation!
