Any audio hardware manufacturer for DAW systems will allow you to use two of their products to get more inputs at once.

MOTU actually has a 24i which is 24 analog ins and outs on one hardware box! Beware of MOTU and PC's though as their drivers and PC support really suck!

Delta has problems with multiple cards so beware of that as well!

Echo Audio, RME or Aardvark are good products to get for multiple inputs at once!

thanks for the info guys I'm still up in the air on this a little some one sugested to me to get the multiface and then get a swissonic adat break out box that would leave me with 12 channels but will cost almost 2000 dollars. the 24 i/o from motu looks nice but i know the problems motu can have though I havnt ran into any myself on my pc using the 1224. My main concern is sound quality though. I wonder if the 24 i/o uses newer better cards in it... my delima is actually deciding if i want to do drums here or just have the drums tracked somewhere else.. my room isnt perfect but i can deaden the hell out of it and just add some nice convolution reverbs. or I could have them done in this really great room here in town for 125 dollars a hour. Dont know what do really in the long run. I really need 12 channels at the minimum if i decided to do drums here, If not i could use a stellar 4 channel unit and just be happy with it for guitars and vocals and bass. . Ill be mixing and mastering somewhere else anyway.. what would you do? thanks

I have the RME Hammerfall card, which has 3 ADAT ins (24 channels) and a pair of S/PDIF ins...that gives a total of 26 channels. I have the first 8 ADAT ins from my Presonus Digimax, the next 8 ADAT ins from my Echo Layla/24, and another 8 ADAT ins from my mixing board. Plenty of ins! The most I have done at once with this setup is 11: that is 8 for drums, 1 DI bass guitar, a scratch DI guitar, and a scratch vocal.

Hook up 3 8-channel mic pres that have ADAT outs (PreSonus DigiMax, Focusrite Octopre, Aardvark Q10, MOTU, etc.), and send the ADATs to the RME...that will give you 24 channels at once!
