LOL. I am a fan of Audition and do feel it grew up in V2 and V3.
LOL. I am a fan of Audition and do feel it grew up in V2 and V3. 1.5 was definitely a repackaged CEP. The spectral editing features are very nice as well as some other tools.
At any rate, your best source of this information is over at the Audition forum hosted by Adobe. I haven't been around that forum much but a quick spin indicates no information on a release date though the Mac beta has been available since November.

Not a fan of Audition, though I hear it has some great wav editing tools. Of course I heard that from the Adobe Rep. He was raving about it. To me it seems that it hasn't grown much since Cool Edit.
