The new features in 2.2

I bought this yesterday, having been planning on the MPC Studio hardware for some time, I can’t wait to move some air with these sounds! The AKAI stuff is the last part of my virtual drum machine collection for now. I sprung for the iphone app too, lol. GAS tank empty.

Beyond the sample set, the software looks to make quick, clean, work of drastic time and pitch altering, and making your own samples. Very cool. Seems super creative with those processes, which can be a tedium in other programs.

dude thats super cool! i got the little nano controller, built like a tank. havent used it much since this computer cant run much vsti stuff (dual core amd laptop), but im sold on akai. not sure if the mpc X comes with reason lite 10, but reason sounds excellent out of the box. i also scooped the akai VIP 3, software, which is sort of a host for all your vsti's, to keep things organized, and to run vsti's on any daw/platform. so for instance a vst 3 pluggin, in protools. between the controller, the mpc software, and vip, theres a remarkable amount of quality, and capability.

akai really seems to deliver things that musicians need, to make engineering less tedious and more intuitive. based on the quality of the 30$ nano controller, which is impressive, i can only imagine the MPC X a true modern classic. cant wait to hear what you guys think of it!!

akai seems to be a real high value product brand. im pretty sure they're part of 'in music brands' along with alesis and several other companies, located about an hour south of me, in Cumberland, Rhode Island. i wish i knew about MPC earlier on, i always assumed it was a hip hop/dance tool only. not that i didnt want one, just didnt have it high on the list, or realize its potential.

just in case anyone is curious.
