Hey guys,

I've been recording keyboard melodies since 7th grade onto my laptop and layering it with other melodies and beats. Sometimes I have used my pad and bed as snare and bass but I'm getting sick of that. I've also been using Garageband as my main recording program. However, when I record keyboard or drums onto the computer, the speakers don't take too lightly to this. I don't have much money to spew forth and I want to start off with just getting the keyboard recordings sounding cleaner and probably having some good recording software. I've heard of this Midiman USB Uno and I don't exactly know what it's exact purpose is. If you guys could please help me out that would be great.

The UNO will allow you to input MIDI Note Numbers into a program that supports it. It's not for acoustic information. Are you looking for something that will allow you to input 2 or more tracks of audio simultaneously? If so, there are a ton of them out there, but that isn't one of them.
