Hi not sure if this is the right place to post this, but thought I would see if anybody can help.

I have recently borrowed a friends Boss BRR180 Digital recording studio, and I have a Yamaha Dt Explorer Electric drum kit. Does anybody know if I can input drums using my electronic kit using the midi inputs and outputs?. I have connected the drum brain module into the back of the studio but not sure how to set it up so I can put inputs in? can anyone help?

Many Thanks

FYI
You can only use the MIDI to "trigger" external drum sounds from a source. You can also trigger sounds on the drum module via a sequencer. MIDI essentially is streaming control data, no sound.

Not sure if your recorder has the ability to trigger internal sounds or has a sequencer that can trigger external sounds. The simplest hookup would be to run the audio outputs from the drum module straight into the recorder and play live into the recorder. If you know of a local music store that sells recording equipment they may help you if they are not to busy. Bring the recorder and the dum module with you or at least draw the connections on both the recorder and module so they can clearily help you. Mabey someone on these boards may be familliar with that recorder.

One more thing is it possible the model number is BR-1180 by Boss or??
