Here is a sample of clicks and pops that have been constantly plaguing me with my new setup. They attach to any sound that has a higher amplitude. First of all, is that you hitting the drum or a midi drum? (Sounds like you hitting it, but its always good to ask.) If you're hitting it, it can be the attack.

Have you checked your meters for clipping? Make sure your meters measure peak levels rather than average levels when you check for clipping.
