I have a firepod at the moment (soon to be profire 2626) and i was thinking of getting 2 preamps with an eq and compressor built into them- the PreSonus eureka and Joemeek 6Q- and connecting them via spdif.

But they would be around 500 euro each. Would it be a better idea to get a digimax fs and have 8 preamps via ADAT then add external hardware to the inserts down the line.

I am planning on having the digimax and the 2 preamps at some stage but i dont know which one to get 1st.
