So, I've not been very focused this week. Work's been difficult enough; mustering up the strength at the end of the day to hold a forum has been impossible.

But as I was watching the service in Washington today, and listening to the song Glory, Glory Halleluja, I couldn't help but have this fleeting thought about how lousy the mix of it was. I couldn't hear a damn word. But yet I totally got the full impact of the song.

So despite my inital reaction that the mix sucked, my perception at the end was that I had just heard a perfect mix.

So what do you think? Thumbs up or thumbs down to the mix of Glory, Glory Halleluja today?

Didn't sound to me like there was a mix;
maybe just one mic that wasn't close enough to
the choir. If you know the words to the song,
it doesn't matter so much (or maybe it does, if
you would be offended by them :-). For me, the
impressiveness was of seeing the gravity of the
event: all these former presidents, political
opponents, etc. etc., being so united and
obviously sincere in their reverential sentiments.
