Welcome aboard, I was pretty much like you HOME RECORDING ENTHUSIAST, and never though in a million year I would actually start making money doing it. I owe all to this forum, as well as a few others for teaching techniques. tricks, ETC. audiokid knows his stuff, that's one cat you can count on for great info too. Have a great weekend. Thanks, BassLiK. I guess you could say I am more than an "enthusiast". I fall under the category of "dangerously, and counterproductively, obsessed". Thats great that you are actually making money from it now. How did you make the transition, and in what sort of capacity? Strictly engineering/producing, or writing/licensing?

Just a weekend warrior doing demo's for bands, most of them use the demo's to get gigs. I love it cause my add clearly states demo's only and not willing to do full production and use samples to make you sound different. That really draws in a lot of bands who want to gig. Although I'm finishing my first full length Album, and I'll never do it again, too muck work, especially speed metal, a lot of fixing on a half asleep left foot of the drummer(LOL). Live demo's !, get then in and out and always stay busy as heck. Later if they want to top producer/mixer/engineer, my friend is a double Platinum Grammy if have a lot of cash.
