We're taking a big step in our studio and getting rid of our "not so useful" big audio console. I'm open to any and all advice about this move. We're mainly recording and mixing in the box and we're thinking of going with a nice 16x2 analog summing amp (i.e., the Mixdream XP) and a high end monitoring system (i.e., Dangerous Music Monitor ST). If you have a similar rig, please let me know how you use your monitoring system components in tandem with you DAW and how you integrate your external hardware (synths, outboard gear, mix pres, etc. ). Any comments are greatly appreciated.
