Hi Serge

It is, and I saw your post. Unfortunately, I don't know of a good repair place. Hopefully someone will 'cos I have a dead Matrix-1000 that I'd like to resurrect.

I did have luck getting some stuff fixed a few years back at "Musictek" in North Hollywood (or somewhere around there). You might try some of the synth enthusiast usenet groups and see what they say.

If I were looking for leads to a repair facility, two of the first places I would call if I didn't already have the name of one (which, being a tech myself, I don't use them) would be Caruso music, at carusomusic.com, and Sweetwater sound, at sweetwater.com - Caruso deals in used equipment, and I'm thinking they probably get a fair amount of stuff on trade that needs repair. Sweetwater started as a recording studio, and most likely would know of some reputable repair facilities. I would go to their websites and follow links to contacts, also see if either place does repairs themselves. Beyond that, try Eddie Cilletti's site,

I've had a response from Sweetwater with Robert Dorion, a very kind guy. He phoned me! (a long distance from Calif. to Québec.)
