Hi,

I've been running Logic 5.5 quite happily now for over 2 years, since starting work in a studio and wanting to be compatible with everone else without buying a Mac.

Always wanting to make my audio machine faster and better, I recently bought a 150GB Western Digital Raptor, 10k rpm SATA drive. ("the fastest non-SCSI drive available")

Happy as Larry, I hooked it all up, transferred all my projects over to the new drive, loaded up the song I'm working on currently, and tried to play it.

To my horror, within a few moments it had kicked up a sample-rate error "sample rate of 40,123 (or something) recognised... blah blah blah"

I tried copying it back to my old IDE drive, an IBM Deskstar and the session runs fine from there.

Anyone tried running a 10k SATA drive with Logic 5.5?

Spec:

Gigabyte nForce2 motherboard
2 GB Corsair matched pair DDR RAM in dual channel mode
E-Mu APS
Windows XP Home SP2

Thanks in advance,

Phil
