Well I finally got to try out my firepod today. But on Play back there is a lot of cuts and clicks and pops, almost like digital clipping. Im useing Sonar producer 5.0, and I believe that the Firepod is the only with time clock running. I believe the outputs must be messed up. Then when I set windows output to be the firepod "outputs and 2". There is no signal at all. Can someone help me out?

http://www.cubase.com Go to the forum there, and they have all sorts of helpful hints. Cubase Le is not a good program. It was "free(yeah right)", and they offer no support. It outgrows" its good for beginners" welcome within a couple of weeks. First things first get the Firepod patch at PreSonus.com, and work from there. Hope this Helps, ohh and chances are its a latency issue.

the version of cubase your runnnig wont be the problem. I used it and it was fine.

What you need is most likely some optimzing, look at the tascam quide to optimzing your system for audio. If you have hyperthreading on, I am afraid you may have to re install your OS and, proir to doing so, turn off HT in the bios first.

There are many things that can cause, pops and clicks, most of the time, its a bios update, and/or optimizing that will do the trick. Alot of times, its your computers networking trying to reach out to the net, so disable your network card. If this computer, is being used for internet, and, its your first setup, then, reinstall everything, and setup 2 users, one for your audio tracking, and the other for internet, and stuff. but, realistically, you will want your studio system, to be for recording only, and have all of that network stuff disabled. I hope this helps. I had this problem before, and it took a ton of stuff to fix it, but, in the end i learned a shitload, and, i fixed it.

Goodluck.
