Yesterday I had the pleasure of being at the Gear You Really Want store in my area when the rep for KRK was making a visit. He had a pair of the Rokit10-3's to demo, and since I was down arranging for a mastering session for the new Franco And The Stingers song thats going on a compilation record for the Cascade Blues Association, I got to hear my new mix on these speaks.

A 3-way self powered with a 10" woofer, these were pretty impressive at their price-point and tempted me sorely to fling the card out on the counter and order a pair. I think for an option in the near/mid-field monitors for any studio, these are really pretty cool sounding.

My mix, which was done on Genelecs in my room, sounded like what I intended for it to sound like on other systems. While I didnt spend a lot of time on them it was enough to hear something I've heard intimately for the last 4 days, and be pleased with its translation, to know that these speakers can deliver the goods.

So heres the 'shill'. Try em out at your local gitarmart and then send your order in to Superdigital in Portland, Or. They're pro shippers and have the best prices around including the internet as well as being dealers with all the stuff that goes with protection and warranty. Sorry guys, but they are my Peeps!

Sounds like a cool tri-amplified KRK version of my JBL 4310/11/12/4411's? I've often thought about tri-amplifying a pair of my JBL's just to see if I love them even more? The only thing holding me back is the fact that I want 2 more Crown D150's and/or D75's while leaving the 300 on the low end. I've got other amplifiers but I don't want to throw a huge variable in. And my Rane definitely has some Mojo going for it, if you know what I mean?

Unfortunately I didn't hear those at the AES NYC while I was there. Go figure?
