Folks, no matter what app I use to record myself singing and playing guitar, the guitar always projects a phaser/flange type sound. I deactivate those effects in the given apps but it still happens. I am running Win 10. Any input is much appreciated. I know this question and my level of recording is not up to the standards of the forum overall but still would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks

Hi, and welcome.
We're going to need a lot more information about how you're getting those signals into your computer.
To start with:
Do you have any sort of recording interface, or are you trying to do this just with the computer's built-in sound card?
Does this flanging/phasing appear on the recorded tracks, or just while you're playing them live?
How are you monitoring all of this? (headphones, speakers - connected to what?)
The specific apps you've tried might matter too, but first things first - the above.
