I just had my Radar Classic delivered to my door today and I am really excited! The only problem is that the "package" does not include the needed cables!

I am curious as to how many Radar customers here have had the same situation.

The cables are not cheap and I am not sure how many I will need. I know that they are in groups of three summing 24, but do I need 2 sets for analod ins and outs?

Also, Mercenary Audio shows only the 8 foot cables and that seems way too short. i was thinking like a comfortable 20 feet.

Where can i get these cables and what is the general price range?

This is a little disapointing at first, being that I have the Radar right here and i can't use it!

It also sucks that i am basically broke right now and will not be able to get them for a few weeks! :x

Anyone else run into this problem when first purchased?

Cheers,

I can sympathize, we use the Radar Nyquist and cables are not cheap. If you are going to be doing anything less than 16 tracks per sesions, then only buy the needed amounts of cables. 2 for in and 2 for out .... it may be diffrent for you, so check what cable configs you need to go with..

Also, not all cables are the same. To show off those great Radar converters you need great cables. Do not skimp - we bought Mogami, which you can get at Guitar Center ( I know, yuck) and IZ Corp sells a quality cable as well.

8 foot cables may be too short, I am sure Fletcher sells longer cables than that.. Hey are you in the Northeast, if so - where?

Thanks guys!

I found a good place in Conn. Prices much better tha iZ. At those rates I wouldn't be able to afford all 6 cables for quite some time.

I am extremly excited to try the Radar out. I have never checked one out before, so I do not even know what to expect. It should be a nice improvment over my Tascam 388 1/4 and TSR-8 1/2 - eight tracks.
