Hello,
I was recently set on buying a certain very aestheticlly appealing Comp from a co. that begins w/ a "C", made In the land of bangers and mash. On my B-day, I had a very depressing conversation w/ a senior rep. from a German Sequencer co. He told me that he had several of these comp's crash-during promo/sales events. 3-5 in all (crashed). It seemed to be a problem with fans/heat, which perhaps makes them quiet but makes them get hot FAST! I want to hear any other opinions on this flashy rack (oopps...) and any individual experience's with this well-advertised company.
Thanks,
A.N.

There have been verying opinions on these systems and most of them have been disappointing IMHO.

There's something lacking in their configurations that make it stable and reliable. Indeed heat can be a factor but it's more in the way they are configured. You are spending a little bit more for their cases and special support indeed.

Just my $.02 worth

Thanks for your Replies,
I would love to get some places where positively received DAW's are made- I am knowledgeable enough to put my own together but too lazy ( hey, at least I'm honest). I've heard ADK (or some other acronym) is good and reasonable in the price department. I do need a rack as i don't have the money for both a laptop and D-top ( I need to play Live). Is it the dimensions of a rack that cause the instabilities? if so, would SATA drives significantly improve the air-flow?
Any comments appreciated,

Opus builds the most stable systems and his help with the most of us building our own has been nothing short of amazing. :c: I enjoy a flawless anus system thanks to Opus.

p.s. That part about XP and adding hardrives(make it ext. logical drive, not another primary) happened to me on my older anus and was not pretty. Most was backed up except a recent project.
