What do you use to get satanic/evil sounding voices?
Simply Sounds like they're slowed down... but is there a bit more two it.?

I get some really deep Satanic sounds from gear that can drop the pitch of the vocals. The problem has been that, the less you spend the cheaper the sound.
For instance, any of the Eventide harmonizer unit's will do that kind of stuff REAL easy, and still sound AWESOME doing it. Like the Eventide DSP7000. But the problem here is that those units are $3400 new.
Now, on the other hand if you buy a Digitech (whatever model that has a pitch shifter on it), for say around $700, then the sound goes to sounding like Alvin and the chipmunks real quick.

Another way around this is to go to a local studio in your town. And cut the vocal tracks there on some REAL gear. It may cost you $200 or maybe as much as $500. But that is still way cheaper than buying the cheap stuff, that sounds......
....well....cheap
(Unless you want, Satan and the chipmunks)
