I know this time of year we all spend time with our family and friends, so I wanted to get in early and wish all members of the RO family Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.

For those who may not celebrate Christmas, in the words of Frank Costanza, I wish you all a Happy Festivus. "the Festivus for the rest of us..."

I look forward to a new year which will bring many new interesting topics, conversations and shared knowledge on all things audio that makes this site the best of its kind on the web.

Stay Safe:D

Regards,

- Sean.

I'll second what Chris said.

You've been a great addition to the RO family, Sean.

So often we get fly-by-night members, those who sign up just to get quick answers to a specific problem, and then they disappear and are never heard from again, or, to occasionally spam us... or, they show up just to "show off" - they don't really want help or critiques, and when they find out that we don't really care "how many pushups" they can do, they head for pastures that are more sycophantic in nature, and kinder to their egos. LOL

But occasionally, a new member comes along who turns out to be so much more than that - a positive addition, a benefit to the forum, serious about the craft, someone who wants to both share what they know and learn about what they don't, and they find out that RO is a great place to do those things ... and it's also a pretty cool place to just hang-out, too. ;)

You've been a great continual contributor in your time here. Your intelligence, your passion, your willingness to assist, coupled with your own desire to continue to learn and improve upon this craft of ours - is obvious.

And that's what we're all here for ... to share with each other the things we know, to ask for help on the things we don't, to present fresh ideas, to open ourselves up to new technology and workflows, but to also keep older tried and true methods alive; to learn, teach, intelligently debate, discuss, share ideas, support, seek help, and give assistance to each other, for all things involved with and related to audio recording... and to treat it as the magical balance between science and art that it truly is. :)

(.... or at least, that's what we all should be here for. ;) )

We have an awesome brain trust here, in so many different areas, with so many talented and knowledgeable people, and you've fit right in. We need more people like you.

I can't begin to describe how much I've personally learned here - from very smart and talented people... pretty much everyone here. I'm a better engineer and producer directly because of RO ( and one other audio forum I belong to).
This place has given me the opportunity to surround myself with people who are a lot smarter and a lot better at this than I am. This place is gold to me.

Anyway...

My most sincere wishes to you, and to all my friends here at RO, for a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holiday, ( or however you observe or celebrate it. )

Be safe, be well... and always, always ... be learning. :)

Yea, a little prosperity in my house would be a good thing. ;)

Don't care so much about the "health" part - I think I've passed my factory warranty period already anyway; and considering the lifestyle I lived for so long, I doubt the warranty would have covered me past 2003 or so.
(Actually, I'm kinda surprised that I'm even still here).

But I certainly wouldn't say "no" to a change in luck financially. :)
