I ve been been browsing for almost a whole week non stop and all the forums you have here related to Recording and studio setup, etc. You guys are so good in explaining everything down to the last bolt and screw. You never find a question too dumb, or too basic, (maybe too vague or general). You dont only have the experience in the studio but Ive seen the level of profesionalism that you guys treat everybody in here. Very positive vibe, nice and cool.

Why dont you guys start your own recording workshop ? Or even at a bigger scale...start your own School, let Fullsail come for you for help (nothing personal with Fullsail, just to add spice). With this line up its kinda hard to go wrong:

-Kurt Foster and Davedog in the Recording seminars, running from basic, intemediate, to advanced.

-Audiogaff and Sdevino teaching everything about the top gear to use in studios (from budget tight to full pro). You can make different seminars for different budgets and goals, all depending where the client stands.

-Don Grossinger, Michael Fossenkemper, Joe Lambert and Doug Milton in the mastering sessions.

And all the other sections that you have you can make seminars about them (acoustic treatment, audio video film, etc.)

You can easily get endorsment from Manley, Great River, Shure, Auralex, etc To lend you equipment for you to use with the students in exchange for reviews or other stuff.

I dont know, Im just making stuff up here...But It would sound like a wonderful idea. Ill be the first one to enroll! 8-) Keep up the good work!

Wow, That is a great idea. Thank's for the support and kind words. I do workshops and seminars from time to time but private consultation pays so much better for my time. I feel better and get more satisfaction doing that than I do recording wankers as well.

I suppose if we all lived in the same area, we would end getting together and doing some sort of audio public service school. It sure would be nice to get paid for what we do for free now...

thanks for the kind words and yes, we are kinda like a school already- we teach and learn and its all free. I think RO is one of the best if not the best of all the online forums at doing that, as it is quite concise and focused on the subjects. Chris keeps fine tuning the threads to keep it that way and it shows.
