I've been a Thomann customer for years - my number one source, as in try them first, and only order elsewhere when they can't help - so I got a shock yesterday. On-line I tried to order some products and at checkout noticed a notice saying delivery delay - so clicked on it, and got informed they have problems and are experiencing 6 day delay on dispatch. Usually goods arrive so quickly, I didn't believe it, so I phoned them, and yes - 6 days is what it is. They apologised but no way they can deliver by the day I need it! No idea what is causing it, and they didn't expand - but just be aware if you never normally even read the notices on the checkout page - it won't be arriving quickly!

For those in the US, Thomann, based in Germany speak English better than we do, are amazing on service AND price and wreck anybody else's attempt to supply goods at good prices over here!

I ordered there several times, and mostly they deliver the next day in the Netherlands. They are polite and helpfull, and often the cheapest in Europe. There are some other megastores in Germany who deliver to Europe mainland and UK: Musicstore Köln, MusikProduktiv in Ippenbüren. And in the Netherlands we have the Bax store...... also good and cheap.

It might be that they are in a dispute with whatever delivery system they use, and is the equivalent to ours here in the US (FedEx, UPS, etc). That's something they wouldn't divulge to customers.
It could also be a dispute within the delivery company too.., perhaps union vs management, maybe a strike? So it may be out of their control.
Just thinking out loud...
