Here is example of boxy voice

Here's an example of the moderator exercising his right to exorcise a demon from our midst.

This is not a site to promote sales of your music, sound recordings of talk, personal vendettas against other humans no matter what you belief system is, or other things of this nature. Masking your real purpose with a simulated reason is simply bunk.

Dont bring that personal stuff in these doors. While you may or may not be the actual person on the recording, its poor taste to post something like that on a website full of all different forms of folks. I understand if you are simply a recordist with a client that records this kind of drivel. A jobs a job, but if thats the case, put up something else as an example or keep the sample to minimum with content intended to inflame.

Capice?

As bouldersound says.
You may also want to try shelving the vocal if you haven't already done so - that is, high pass filter from 20 hz upwards. keep going upwards of 20 hz until the vocal starts to sound significantly too 'thin' - then go back to where it sounds ok. In the same way use a low pass filter, gradually cutting from 20khz downwards until the vocal starts to sound unacceptably dull, then go back to the frequency where it sounds ok. If you don't have parametric EQ's and filters, you can use a graphic for all of these tasks including Bouldersound's suggestion. I do. BTW my guess at the offending frequencies is nearer 300 hz. :)

The only boxy sound I hear is that which is coming from your room and from your brain. If you've read your Bible, you'll know it says something about not judging others. You can feel any way that you want to feel about what you think. It needs to be kept to yourself just like lovemaking needs to stay in the bedroom. Your sound problem is due to the close proximity you have to close parallel surfaces such as your walls. Sticking a bunch of foam around you doesn't help it only exacerbates the problem. It's almost like having too many judgmental people around you. The only way to fix this problem is to remove yourself from that environment. I'd certainly like to remove you from my environment. The only equalization you might want to utilize is that of understanding. If you don't like Homo's, don't listen to any music, ever again because you're listening to them, all of them, most of them. Even that beautiful music you are utilizing was written by those Homo's like many folks here, pops. Why do folks who think they are religious think they are speaking for God? Only God speaks for God. You believe in what you want to believe and you stay quiet about it. If you believe they should be in hell, you might find yourself there. Obviously you are close because you are having acoustic problems. Maybe God is trying to tell you something acoustically? But you are too self absorbed to even recognize that as a senior citizen with a lifetime of experience. Too bad for you. I shall pray for you, quietly and buy myself. You should think about doing the same for yourself? But you can't think can you? If you could, you'd know that each recording like each person Is a separate entity unto their own. It's the spice of life but you have over peppered your food making it inedible. And that makes you almost want to vomit. Your stuff makes me want to vomit, on you. Your time is near when you will be facing the great one. You'll be asked if you've done any wrong to anyone. You'll be lying if you say no. And you know where those people go don't you?

You don't want me after you for all eternity do you? May God have mercy on your soul.

Wow....just came across this thread. Don't know what this dude's song was about but I'm thinking that it had something to do with religion, homo***uality, and maybe some hate as well.
That's a pity....because the Bible taught me to love even those that hate me.

If the OP was indeed hating on a certain group (I didn't hear it first hand so I can't pass judgement), he would be better off directing that hatred towards the evil that exists inside himself (just like the Bible says to). Maybe then, he would come to the realization that he's not in any position to condemn others.

Also, we should not reply to his hate with hate of our own. It is not the least bit fair to label his actions as "religious". We'll never rid the world of hate because we're all flawed individuals. And both religious and unreligious people can all hate with the best of them.

Some may say that this reply has nothing to do with recording and thereby should not be permitted. To that I say that this is the 10th reply of this thread, and the 8th of which that has had nothing to do with recording.
