my problem is that i cant hear what I'm saying thru my speakers or headphone.
I'm using a gemini 2ch mixer's mic input to connect my mic, I'm running the rca's out of the master from the back of the mixer, into the inputs of my audiophile2496 soundcard, when i open up acid pro 4.0, i load my instrumental(beat) and than when i hit record and start to say something i see the meters jumping up and down but i cant hear what I'm saying, even doe whatever i said does get record it in.. I'm confused.. someone help. same thing happens with sonar4

I had the same problem in acid pro but it was waaaayyy back in the day. My only solution was taking one side of the headphones off my ear and crank up the volume so it floods the other ear. Other than that I can't say I remember enough about acid to help, all I remember is that we never got it to monitor thru the headphones properly. You may want to consider getting a program like cubase se. You can produce your tracks in acid pro then dump them into cubase as a wav file and then lay down your vocals, plus you'll get more control over plug ins and stuff. Just something to think about.
