I have started my journey (very beginning) of treating my mixing room in my new house.
Having a blank canvas which is great to get creative but I am trying to work out what the best approach is and would love some input from this forum!

Please find attached blueprint of the room.

I'm on the 7th and top floor in an office building and the professional advice is I need a box in a box with around 100mm concrete for the suspended floor with a 100mm air gap. Proper engineered and calculated rubber blocks and the correct type and amount of insulation in the gap.

I'm currently in my basement to record my own music - solely my own music - for now and the foreseable future.

Thanks to all on this forum for providing advice and expertise! I've read "Home Recording Studio Build It Like the Pros" a couple times now and I'm moving along with plans for a small room in a detached garage. I'm at the point that I have one immediate question about exterior wall mass, and I would of course appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Anyone have any suggestions for products to decouple a stud wall from a cement floor?

Can someone please tell me the technically proper dimensions I should place the speakers in the room, for the best flat response for the engineers seating position.
