I just ordered one and will post some observations after it arrives and I have a chance to use it. Anyone else got one yet?

I'm getting an Alesis HD24 for use as a mobile unit. I'll be doing some outdoor concerts where I'm not as confident of the power source as I would be indoors. I usually use the typical Furman rack rider power conditioner for my PA rig. What do you all use with mobile recording rigs?

What are your preffered mic options and why?

How do you all get a phat crunchy guitar sound..EQ/layering/panning etc?

I'm moving soon and I need something to put my Digi 002R in so that it won't get damaged, but will fit in my car.
I was thinking of getting a good rack case that's not too big, maybe have room for one more item. I saw a wooden/plastic case for a digi002r once that was the perfect size for it but also protected it but don't know what the brand was.

Doe's anyone know the prices for focal sm6. What do you think about these speakers? When i heard them they sounded great...

Dones anybody have any tips on getting that bass tone like duff mckagan on GNR's apetite, or billy gould on faith no more's "we care alot" ? I KNow getting the right instruments recoded correctly is extremely essential, but does anybody know how to achieve this in the mix and have it sit well?

can anyone tell me the real big differences between an UAD Realverb or Dreamverb (that is what i have to work with) and a highend verb like Lexicon 480. i do not mean the different in price ;-)

Hey there all, I am using reason and wanted to make some new orderish type of basslines any one no what would be the best way to go about it? The subtractor?, what key?, basslines are becoming a pain. Is there like a certain pattern you are suppose to follow when making them?

Aparantly its called "Kernel Panics" in Pro Tools when the screen goes grey and in a a bunch of langauges it asks to restart.

Its happening to me whenever I close pro tools. I searched around and couldnt find any. Anyone?
