Have you guys evaluated any of their microphones? Oka, the are cheap and chinese. I have just bought a small kit, just for emergencies when you record live, up to 50 musicians and still need a few mics just for some spots.
They are reasonable and excellent for their prices!lol

To me they are between SM and Beta Series.

Can you tell me what it was about the M9 that made you buy it instead of say,an NTK or Audio-Technica 3060? I have found that many project studios in Australia go for the NTK's because they are considerd a standard fixture here. Not many people know about CAD gear or studio projects stuff.

I need to find a decent studio vocal mic with switchable polar pattern and roll off for under $600.00 USD.I have looked at the Cad range, the RODE range and Audio-Technica but I am a bit dubious about all of them. Can anyonbe help me find a little pot of gold?

some my friend say that is no suitable because the real Neve sound is incomparable.

the other components are consumer,why the sound will be incomparable?

My Ghost desk reads SMPTE and can automate mutes for a mix. A have used this feature before when tracking to tape in order to both sync the computer and do the mutes. I suddenly thought: why couldn't I strip code to a track in the computer when not hotting tape, and fire the mute automation with that?

Are there appreciable contrasts in tone? Does one produce a plinkier sound?

so i went with the Tascam us122 for my laptop audio needs. for now it should be enough. now i am getting conflicting stories on external storage. i use my laptop for video capture and editing as well as location audio recording. should i go with a usb 2.0 drive or firewire? if i get the firewire i will have to get a firewire card because i only have one port which i use for video capture.
