thats my equipment problem is i want to import all eight tracks at once and not 2by2 1.is there a way to do so with my optical in? 2. in going 2by2 am i better with rca or 1/4"

I started out mixing Hip Hop music a couple of years ago, using nothing but Logitech 2.1 speakers and a Sound Blaster Audigy soundcard. Amazingly, I have gotten some pretty good results considering my equipment. I am now in the process of taking it to the next level.

Hi. My monitors take line level input only. I'm trying to figure out what kind of cable I should get to connect it to my sound card. I know I'm going to need some kind of y cable which connects 1 stereo output to 2 mono inputs. My monitors take 1/4" and XLR inputs.

Just got some vocal tracks in. Theyve been recorded with SB Audigy, an old Mackie mini mixer and a RODE NT1. The takes themselves are good as it gets but there's a problem: sibilants sound harsh. Theyre like mp3 gone bad. Is the Audigy the most likely culprit? Any suggestions on curing this evil? I have only good things to say about the Mackie and NT1.

Has anyone used this?
Where ever I look, they are very vague about what is included. Of course we need the sound card with the inputs and the software.

Hey I'm pretty new to the whole studio recording. I recently bought a creative audigy 2 zs platnium pro, recommended by a friend who also does pro audio. I am using Sonar right now for a program. And out of the blue it decides not to recognize the direct input for my guitar.

I have these two choices of buying Audiophile 2496 or Creative Audigy 2 Platinum Pro(External)...but i dont know which one would be better for recording and making music on my computer. i live in canada, and the price of audiophile is $125, and the price for the creative one is $199 or so. but u get soo much stuff with the creative one(external unit,card and remote control).

Hi All, Got a weird question here; The Audigy allows EAX FX (in this case reverb on the line in) but it automatically mutes the line in when I open the record dialog in Acid Pro 5. This necessitates opening the mixer, muting and then unmuting the line in every time I record a track so I can monitor input wet- pain in the butt.
