room tuning, mix translation, and low mids
so i'm mixing this record. but i'm mixing in a concrete basement, which is big, high ceilings [uneven wood, 9 ft], and my mix area is about 15ft cube, with the back "wall" of the cube actually going out 25 ft at least, irregularly [bookshelves, different depths, stairs, etc].

What is your next move?
What are you planning scheming, dreaming of to do in the future?
get your music finished?
Expand?
Downsize? Lean & mean!
Learn some new technology?
Get on the road?
Try for a record deal?
What are your short & mid term audio goals?
:)

Choosing a recording school, Really Need Help !
I'm trying to choose a recording school to go to in the next few months but I live in India so I have nothing much to go by except for the websites of the schools. I want to go to a good school with great equipment, faculty, internship and placements. Cost is not really the factor, cause I can try for financial aid (I'm a U.S. citizen).
Holy bleepin' Standing Waves!
I don't believe it. I just figured out exactly what is wrong with my control room. I am suprised that anything I've ever done in here has been even listenable.

what if you were starting a new 'bottom feeder with pot
Okay. So you've had 3-5 years of making records out of your basement, apartment, & rehearsal spaces around town. You feel like you're actually able to hear the changes you make, and the tracks are starting to translate to other systems well (without major EQ changes in mastering). Your monitoring chain, mics and pre's are at or above most of the smaller studios around town.
sound proofing my little studio
not sure if this should be asked here.
is there a website or some advice for building my little project home studio? right now its an unfinished basement and my wife has given me a room that is 10 by 12 feet 8feet high. it hasnt been framed or anything.
what do i do for framing and sound proofing..everything? within a small budget.

Coolest "organic" sound you've created?
We got to talking around the shop the other day about some of the sounds we've made in nature, sounds that don't really exist, but were conjured up for a special occasion.

I have an AMD processor on my PC - am I screwed?
I want to do basic computer based recording and I'm not sure what kind of audio card or interface to buy (can you tell I'm new at this?). My PC has an AMD K6 processor in it. From what I've heard, I'm going to need to upgrade the entire motherboard and processor before I can even begin to record.
Is that true?
