Portable Vocal Tracking System.

I'm thinking about a portable tracking booth to take "wherever" I can for the purpose of recording the gifted solo artists around my area.

Can somebody tell me what they think of this mic? Groove Tubes GT 66?

This is a popular question. I've been in some preliminary talks with a potential new client for a design and supervisory role on a new home studio build in my area.

The obvious question is how much, the reply, well. . It depends. So many variables exist in studio construction it's very different than any other type of construction in a home.

We're planning on building a house with a basement, to include a music room. I can’t "build a studio" as such, just hope to optimize construction for better isolation than what a basement would normally have. I won't be building a room within a room or anything that involved. I plan to present the builder with options for them to assess for cost and practicality. The diagram on p.

What would you consider an ideal size for a one-room studio that would accommodate a band rehearsal setup, recording/mixing station, and extra amp stacks, guitar rack, etc.?

In my opinion (i think most will agree) that after the original source (instrument, amp, etc..) the room that the instrument is being tracked in is the first stage of EQ.
