Quality cables

i am establishing a home studio setup following are the equipment setup but what is left is the right and good quality cables for connecting mics to the DAW or monitors to the DAW. what i mean by right leads is that i know that there are xlr's and mono and stereo jack cables but which one go best with my system i want to make sure so please suggest me.

Cable brand that someone might recommend?

I have a studio in my home as I'm sure many of you do. I don't have a problem with any cable noise, so I'm not sure why I'm asking.

But here it goes. I use HOSA cables in my "home studio". Is there a better cable that someone might recommend?

I have heard so many things: Monster, Planet Waves, Mogami, etc...

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Audio cables in newly constructed studio

A contractor is just finishing up a new detached building I'll be using for a studio. It's L-Shaped. The control room (not yet built out) will be approx 10x10 and the adjacent live room will be approx 20x10.

The electricity will be on sub panel, with separate circuits for the lights and outlets. I plan to run a Pro Tools HD setup with a Control 24 interface.

Y Splitter Cable

I bought a Y cable splitter because before I would simply plugin a single guitar cable from my Behringer xenyx 802 into my pod xt live. There is a "L" and an "R" on the MAIN OUT for the xenyx 802 and I would just plug into the left channel and then record. Since I was only technically plugged into one channel I'd assume I was recording in mono.
