Cables & soldering
Have you ever used a Cordial cable and/or Neutrik connectors? They're about the only "professional" cables/connectors I can get here in Romania.
Also, I plan to do my own soldering. Do you know what sort of solder should I use? I've heard that ideally it should contain some silver and less lead then usual solder stuff.
Any opinions?...

Microphone Cables (Length)
i'm going to be changing the location of my project studio, and this will allow for a small noise free booth with monitoring in a completely different room. it should be much more convenient and noise free.
with this new location, much longer XLR cables will be required to get signal from the microphones. so my questions are this:

Pulsar Cables Anyone?
I came across this manufacturer of cables, snakes, adaptors, etc. Their prices are ridiculously cheap - like 60% less than even the lower priced companies like Hosa.

wav vs. . aiff noticable difference
I noticed small difference between both..
with the same audio source recorded to both format,
after lots of a/b listening I found that wav is
slightly higher in 1.5k-2k than aiff.
Comparing with the source, aiff won.. It's identical
fyi, I record in WL4.0
Is this just in my head or i'm just a bit late?

Braided or foiled cables?
Hey, based on advise from this forum I decided to make my own cables. But now that I'm going to buy the materials I'm not totally Shure what to buy. I need to make a multicable for my studio. The instalation is going to be semi permanent, so that I'm only going to move it around a little once in a while.

Long cables
Hi!
I'm really in need of a multicore cable with a stagebox (30m or more). Will the long cable be a problem? As for an example the manual to my Röde NT2000 sugests that You use a cable somewhere around 6m (or to be more specific, 6m is "a good compromise"). And what happens when you run a dynamic microphone through a long cable?

Mic cables / XLR interconnects
Can one use mic cable to connect outboard gear - XLR to XLR, or is it any different from interconnect cable - up until this point the compressors/eq's i've bought have used 1/4"
