I need to be able to switch the toslink cable inputs for two D-A units. The messy way is to manually move the cables around which is a headache. Can anyone suggest a switch that can handle the bandwidth of an ADAT signal without disrupting the optical signal.

I have tried one from maplins but I suspect it was only designed for S/PDIF because I get errors in the signal.

Anyone using Gotham interconnect and speaker cable ?
Is it better than siltech, silver sonic, Mogami and MIT cable?
What is the performance of Gotham cable?

Is it safe to leave cables (XLR, 1/4TRS) plugged in your gear? At the end of every studio session, do you guys disconnect all the wires?

I could use some opinions on this as we cable our home studio.
The Mogami is SO expensive ! Is there a very good second best ?

Hi all...I've heard several people talk about making their own patch cables. I have a set that I purchased from the store, and didn't really think twice about them until today. My entire rack is wired with nice cabling (Monster) except for the patch cables- so what is the cheapest way to go about upgrading without spending big $$$? Thanks!

I'm not up to speed with regards to good XLR cable & ends.
I have a chance to grab 8 25' Digiflex cables with Neutrik ends for about $40US.
Just wondering if they're top quality.
