Hi, I do stand up comedy. Just got home from guitar center where I asked the guys there if this was possible. They sent me home with a Y cable that did not work. The idea is to tap in my iPad's sound through the club's microphone cable on stage while at the same time being able to talk and have them hear me as well.

Hi, Im going to buy the KRK10s subwoofer to add to my Samson A8 studio monitors. I want to use XLR to XLR cables but the only ones i can find online are for use with microphones, why is this? Is it because the signal isn't amplified? Could you please recommend what type of cable i should be using for this? Thanks a lot

Is it possible to wire cables out of phase? For instance on the use of top and bottom of a snare.

Are there any other cheap alternatives without changing inside of a DAW?

This is a pretty broad question. For 1/4" cables, have you noticed a difference in nickel plated and gold plated plugs? Do you use gold plated in certain situations such as for instruments? Is it necessary to use gold plated plugs for pedal, patch cables?

I know that in the past I have expressed skepticism about the difference between premium cables and super-duper-premium cables.

..I am not speaking of design here, but of wear: is there anything in a cable that 'wears out' or decays? I understand that contacts need to be cleaned, but am wondering if some of my cables (that are as much as 40 years old) are as good as they ever were? Okay. So normally when I am recording on location I am the master of redundancy and backup recording (duh). Two nights ago I went to record my wife's high school orchestra holiday concert with of course narrator for a Dickens Christmas story/arrangement. First off, I didn't roll out the HD24XR and I didn't bring my usual trust flash recorder either.

I have 2 Furmans power conditioners that are loaded with gear such as monitors, f/x, DAW Controller, Kybd midi controller...
Most of the power cables are routed away from any audio snakes and other cables.
It is a fairly tight set up on a custom built studio desk.

I just wanted to ask if TRS cables are the exactly the same as "Speaker Cables?" Speaker cables that you would normally use to hook your studio monitors to your audio interface.

Also, are these the same cables that should be used between a guitar amp head and the cabinet?
