I have a mission to rewire a 2 room project studio, which i built a few years ago. I do not own the studio, nor do i work there. Satisfaction is my reward.

After many years recording 100's of great bands, film scores, etc we finally decided to pull the plug and take the studio apart. The gear and mics will all go easily. no problem, but what to do or how to sell all the Mogami cable with Edak and XLR, 1/4" ends is my quandry. There is a lot of cable and it is all in great condition.

Just wondering what stores you Guys have about audio cables? It always seems to bring up Some debate. What are you using and why? What problems would you have. It seems to me that cables are always the problem. If you could make the best cable what would it be?

For 30 years I have been using the half wrap (end to end) where you put one end together with the other end, halving the length each time, but less 6" so the ends don't get into the last half. Repeat until the cable bundle is between two and three feet long and tie the whole thing into a simple yet loose knot. Put them all in a road case and done.

can n e one tell me what i need to set up a sm58 microphone to acer laptop,windows 7 wat cable do i need, do i need a usb sound card to boost the audio if so do i have to get a certain one n e suggestions on the easiest option its just for singing and recording for my daughters bedroom

Anyone have a chance to hear VOVOX at AES this year?

I have 12 year old Mogami mic cable (no idea what number as it is worn off) and am wondering if it degrades in sound quality?

or ... is the new Mogami mic cable better sounding than the old?
