Connecting Patchbays and Mixer... what cables & wiring

I'd like to wire a 24-channel analog desk to a patchbay for outboard gear and then route it back to the desk.

I wish to record the signals dry during the tracking process but would like to mix OTB and use my outboard gear in conjunction with any plugins. I'd like to use some FX like reverbs just for monitoring purposes during the tracking process.

cable that goes between pedal,

hey,
i`m looking for cable that goes between your pedals? but has thin head?top? (sorry, don`t exactly know the word for it.)
Anyway i been looking for that kind of cable because i saw the picture somewhere online but it seems that GC or Musicians friend dosen`t carry them...or maybe i`m not typing the right words for it.

Coaxial Cable

Called coaxial because the cable includes one physical channel that carries the signal, surrounded by another concentric channel, both running along the same axis, but separated by insulation. They are used for high frequency transmission of telephone, television and audio signals. Coaxial cable was invented in 1929 and first used commercially in 1941.

Phantom power and a TS cable

This seems like a very simple question but I haven't found a conclusive answer. I have an audio interface with those Neutrik combination XLR/TRS/TS jacks. I need to have phantom power on and I need to record from an unbalanced line-level source. I will send that unbalanced source into one of those Neutrik jacks with a TS cable.

Y Cable

A cable used to split or combine two signals. Another use is to send a signal out of one side of the "Y" and return through the other, as when patching into an insert point of a console. There are occasions where "Y" cables should not, or cannot be used. One is for MIDI. It is impossible to combine two channels of MIDI using a "Y" cable.
