I bought 2 old Calrec PPM drivers on ebay some time ago. No documentation was included. I figured out the inputs/power/outputs & fired them up into a pair of Sifam PPMs.

I have a pair of BA racked Calrec PQ1061's that I might be purchasing from a buddy of mine. He purchased them new from Brent 20 plus years ago.

had a chance to use some brent averill-racked calrec 1061 pre/eqs and LOVED them! now, according to legend the calrec company was hired by the bbc to make copies of the Neve gear of the time. my question.

. what Neve model are the 1061s based on? and would you say they sounded identical, or at least close, to the equivalent Neve model?
