Description

CD-R is a digital optical disc storage format. A CD-R disc is a compact disc that can be written once and read arbitrarily many times.

CD/CD-R player are folks using in their Studios

Have you folks standardised on a good "reference" CD transport/DAC combination or one CD player to handle CD repro in your studio?

I've been searching for the ultimate in CD reproduction and have decided to go for the Apogee Mini-DAC product. Anyone have some strong recommendations for the transport + Coax digital cable?

Hi friends! a few years ago I read on a Bazilian magazine ( similar to EQ/Mix) that there is a simple software that can dig deeper into your CD-R "security card" LOL.
They discovered that lots of famous brands were done by the same plant and some known to be best brands in fact sucked in lots of tests. Has any of you used such application on Mac?
Thanks

PMCD vs CD-R for duplication?

Hello

I just had my CD mastered at Sterling Sound in NYC. I plan on having 1000 pressed and printed at one of the plants (discmakers or groove house records maybe). There are some level adjustements I would like made based on their reference CD (I'd like one song raised up and the overall level higher). So here's my two questions:

CD-RW, Laptop, Plextor

Help! I would like to get a plextor CD-RW for my laptop, but am limited by my connection options (PC Card, USB 1, serial, parralel).

I was hoping someing could point me in the right direction.. Thoughts were to slap a plextor IDE into a firewire enclosure ->Firewire adapter card-PC CARD slot. Im using WIN2k on a beefy HP laptop.

Any thoughts?
