Click Track Timing

What controls the timing for the Click Track/Metronome when I'm recording?
Is it controled by the converters internal clock?

There have been many times where it seems like the metronome starts okay, then slows down at some point.
I'm currently using Sonar 8.5, but also had this problem when I was using a Roland BR-1600CD 16 track recorder.

intermittent 'click' in my recording

I'm running out of troubleshooting options so I hope some gurus might give me some suggestions. I am the sole technician at a television production studio which I designed, built and operate for a government dpeartment. I should say that I am far more a video specialist than audio, and though I have in the 'biz' for a long time, I am not an engineer.

Electrical issue: click-noise from when refrigerator starts/stops

Hey all

Whenever the refrigerator in my studio starts/stops (thermostat regulation), it produces a short pop/click noise on the computerspeakers..
I could live with that. But when I'm recording, that sound is recorded too and makes the recording unusable! :frown:

Click/Pop in Cubase LE 1

When recording with Cubase LE 1.0.18, there are these periodic "clicks and pops".

Actually, they are more than clicks and pops, as they send the levels to peak and they seems to last longer than usual clicks and pops.

I thought maybe my laptop and Fast Track Ultra were not in sync, but they sure appear to be. Tried all kinds of settings changes, changing USB port.
