I have a problem when recording audio in Cubase SX 3, It seems to record the click track too, I've tried switching it off but it still plays on playback. Any ideas Why? I'm probably doing something completely stupid!

Ok here's the deal. Everytime I record guitar into soundforge 7, I get a clicking noise. I just recorded some vocals and everything was fine, no click. I am Micing my amp with a Shure sm57, which does not touch the grill. I have tried different patch cables, made sure there is no clipping what so ever, and also tried a different mic, the EV ND257B.

I'm new to Samplitude. I'm getting there on the audio side of recording. I have not gotten into the midi side at all.

This weekend I have the entire weekend scheduled with drummer and bass player hired to record for my new album.

I am experiencing audio dropouts, clicks and pops with my Firepod/Cubase setup. When I create a new project and begin to record, the scroll bar on the ruler tends to pause and then skips forward. The pops/clicks and audio dropouts follow. Here are the facts about my DAW:

They're extremely discrete, but they're still there...

My computer is a P4 2.8, 1024 ram, two 80Gb HDs, one only for audio. I'm using Cubase, already used sonar, all running under Windows XP Pro (sp2).

i am running a digi 001 with mac OS 9 and pro tools 5.01. i can't get the click to come thru any outputs or headphones. i bought it used and cant get tech support. any help would be appreciated. thanks

I've been recording bands for awhile now and my method has always been to record a scratch rythym track to a drum machine, (just a simple 1,2,3,4 beat). After getting the rythm track down I give it to the drummer in his headphones and record him playing to it.

any one know how remove the metronome count when fl 3 is running in vsti mode when i hit start from the master

I've got a click track going, but it does not play the click track for 2 bars before it starts to record. As soon as I hit spacebar to begin the recording, the actual recording begins (instead of waiting the 2 bars so that I can get ready).
