I've got an interesting and somewhat unexpected situation to deal with, regarding a project I'm just wrapping up.

I'm putting together a nine-track vinyl compilation from various artists and genres. The tracks all tend to be pretty well recorded but the levels are somewhat sporadic. I'd like to get all the tracks into a somewhat consistent zone but I'm not sure if there's a definitive method for doing so.

This topic may have been brought up before, but I'm looking for any information you can share with me regarding the points structure for artists on a compilation CD. Specifically, a CD of 10-12 songs including maybe 5 different artists. What can you tell me about the individual artists' points, or what website/book can you direct me to. All inputs are sincerely appreciated.
