Need a "little big" console - HELP!

Really hoping someone can send me a brainwave here.

ProControl is soon to be a thing of the past in our "A" room. Rather than use Pro Tools A/D/A stages to interface all of our "cool guy" analog comps and EQ's, we are ditching the Pro Tools-as-mixer paradigm and going for something analog. Long story as to the 'why' of it, but this is the direction.

How do you clean your console's surface.

Not just for dust, (we use a very soft paint brush for that) but for the hand and finger goo. (Sweat, and insert one of Fletchers four basic food groups.) Not that we allow any food or drinks near our desk but we do sometimes get in a hurry and forget to wash our hands, Duh! ;)

What type of cleaner do you use and what is the best method for getting around all the faders and pots.

Console Under $15k?

O.K., so I got my MCI 2"24trk, a Pro Tools rig, about 15 or so good mics, a decent selection of outboard gear and preamps, and the last thing I need to open my place up is the console to run it all through. In keeping with my desire to run a functional mid-level studio, I've been looking at some MCI, Neotek, Amek, and Harrison consoles.

The 2-mix buss/console question?

"It has been my experience that the 2-bus is a weak point in a lot of analog consoles, as well as the daw sh*t. The SSL E's and G's 2-bus totally sucked. Most quality studios using SSL's bypassed the factory 2-bus either with on-board mods, or outboard faders. The "J" seems to be better, but most of the daw's do indeed blow."
