Cubase 5 vs. Autotune

Can the pitch correct in Cubase 5 do what Autotune basically does. Correct pitch in real time and have selectable scale and individual note selections? Also can the Cubase 5 do the T-pain thing by running correction at 100% (not that i use it but some think it's neat and it's good to do funny things with. Just curious before I get Cubase 5 AND Autotune.

Thanks,

Cubase 5 Problems with Windows 7 Please Advise

Hello there,

I recently have gotten a new computer and it has been a nightmare trying to get things working. I have had it for about a month and have yet to record a single track because nothing is working properly. I will try to be as detailed as possible and hopefully can find solutions.

The comp specs are:

Brand: Dell Studio XPS

Amplitude won't show up in Cubase

I downloaded a fully functional trial of Amplitude and can't get it to load up in Cubase. I go to the track insert and it's just not there. It works just fine in stand alone mode. I'm operating the 64 bit version of Cubase with Windows 7. I read somewhere that there were compatibility issues with plugins in 64 bit Cubase. Just wondering if that might be it?

Upgrading Cubase

I have been using Cubase SL3 for years now, and I haven't been having any issues. I did have one instamce of someone giving me a Cubase4 file I couldn't open, but he just gave me a wav and that was fine.

Anyways, anyone out there upgraded and think it's worth while? I can get the upgrade for $250 through Steinberg, so it's not too expensive.

Cubase 5 vs. Sonar 8

Well... I finally got my new comp and downloaded the trial versions of Cubase and Sonar. So far, my familiarity with Cubase is making me lean in that direction. I do like the look of Sonar though. What I don't like is that I know version 8.5 has a lot more that 8.0 (which is the only demo version they offer).
