Hey guys I'm looking for a really comprehensive distortion/mangling plugin . Being able to isolate frequencies and process them differently without duplicating tracks is a must. I've been eyeballing Trash 2 from iZotope but I'm trying to weigh all my options. You guys know of anything like this besides Trash 2? Thanks in advance!

Hi, ive just recently set up my home recording studio and I'm very happy with it but I'm having trouble with the distortion pedals in garage band . I chose the grinder pedal and it seems to work well but out of the blue the distortion drop out on a random note. I never had this problem with my boss stomp pedals.

So I have a Yamaha EMX5014C mixer. I have it plugged into my computer to record into MixCraft6. I can record, but when all my levels are up, (the recording level on MixCraft is up, the volume is up on MixCraft, the volume is up on my computer speakers, the gain and compression are both all the way up on the mixer), I still have a very low and distorted recording.

First of all, I am by no means a professional audio/video engineer... In fact, this was my first attempt ever at using a external lavalier mic. I even went so far as to use headphones while recording and did pick up on some distortion but I could not figure out why it was happening.

I have huge problem with recording from my Sandisk Sansa Clip+ [with rockbox]. I set MP3, 320kbps,48KHz. I can't re-record this. Does anybody know what should I do to restore this record?

Using Nuendo 4.3 and an older 3.2 version on Windows XP SP2 OS PC has 3 gig Ram, 720 hard drive speed, AMD Dual chip, EMU 1820m soundcard. No matter what I do my vocals are crappy. Sound great through headphones while recording but listen to the wav and it becomes a monster. No matter how low or how high I set levels it is all the same distorted sound.

This has to be a simple solution but I'm stumped.

My bounced 2 track sounds great at 16/ 44.1 but on the CD some transients are distorting. I've never had this problem before. How can it sound great ITB?
I'm even lowering my level to -6 and still some subtle clipping is occurring on the CD.

I was just wondering.. in relation to distorted guitars .. I always avoid compression as much as I can but lately even though I am recording with a valve amp and everything sounds wonderful solo it lacks that cutting edge to really push through properly.. so ..
